In Orlando, a 12-year-old mixed breed had been found on Wednesday by Animal Control. She had been abandoned – tied to a pole and left in the sun to die. Brought to Orange County Animal Services, and dubbed Betty Mae, she rested in her kennel – not a sound nor a complaint, however she doesn’t care if she lives or dies. Betty Mae cover

According to animal advocate Cris Ferreira Reed, Sunday’s visit with Betty Mae could make the hardest hearts break into a million tiny pieces:

“I met her in her kennel laying on her bed on a puddle of her own piss. She is not any better in the yard. She doesn’t care if she lives or dies. Her white fur is gray and dirty. And her eyes just show her misery. I wish I could say she is loving, but she doesn’t know what love is. Please help.” Betty Mae 2

  1. Please help her ..she just needs love .. I am in Canada and can’t do much from here but plea for someone to help her

  2. This poor dog is reflecting what her so called guardians make her feel. So sad and hope she can find a loving home, something she obviously never had.

  3. WOW! I really think Cris Ferrerra Reed ( animal advocate?) could have tried to paint a little more positive PICTURE of BETTY MAE to help her with a RESCUE or ADOPTION which is already hard as hell to get in that Shelter to begin with!!! NOW with that review I would say her chanced and 0 at best!!!

  4. Prayers for a happy ending for this sweet dog. The monster(s) who tied her up and left her to die should have the same thing done to them. Hopefully they’ll be caught and charged. At the very least, I hope Karma pays them a visit.

  5. Maybe you could call tge lady in Florida or California that had the old dog flown there after it had walked back to his house-someone please take her!!

  6. This poor dog only has FOUR days before they Kill her!! May a worthy organization come to her assist!!! It looks as if her prior life has not BEEN a STELLOR one…so may she have a few years to receive and give love!!

  7. If you have ever seen a throw a way family member it’s quite a n accurate description of Betty Mae . But this should inspire someone a special someone to want to show her that not everyone will throw her away and give her the love she deserves in her sunset years.
