When Marley and Stella’s owner passed away recently, the family no longer wanted them. Tragically, the two are now homeless and were surrendered to Harris County Pets Shelter in Texas.
“Marely and Stella were brought together after their owner passed away and the family cannot keep them anymore. This pair sad lost their owner a month ago, the father could not keep them anymore (was his son who died and was the owner) sad to say this happens when you don’t leave a will, so please do it, you never know what can happen tomorrow!”
Marley has a mass on his foot and is heartworm positive. Stella has hair loss, is underweight and is not in good physical condition, but their lives count. Both dogs deserve an equal chance to be rescued and loved in a new home. The dogs are very bonded, and it would be desirable if they could be placed together, however to save their lives, separation would be logical over a death sentence.
