An abandoned puppy, thrown away like unwanted trash in a garbage bag, has died. The pit bull pup was badly neglected and filthy when he was found alone in the cold in Wichita, Kansas. The Beauties and Beasts rescue group attempted to save the pup’s life, but the severe neglect had taken its toll.
The group alerted Facebook followers to the heartbreaking situation on Wednesday, writing:
There are no words for the evil that exists in this world and in OUR community. This innocent life depended on humans to care for him, he is just a baby and was left to die tossed out like garbage in freezing temperatures …cold, alone and afraid.
Adding details of how the pup was found:
We were just notified by the staff at Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita of this heartbreaking baby that just arrived found at 13th and Oliver by a Good Samaritan inside a trash bag and placed in a plastic tub next to the trash. He is in critical condition, covered with feces and urine and extremely emaciated.
The pup, dubbed Jupiter, had a very low body temperature and blood pressure when he was taken in – despite round the clock care, he passed away. The rescue group broke the news on Thursday:
